Founder's Vision

Myers’ work explores the human condition through industrial materials, light, and form. This approach informs the vision of the Indiana Museum of Art, where contemporary art is experienced not only as objects, but as environments that shape perception, movement, and connection.

Jason Myers has been working in the field of art for over 30 years. He received his MFA from American University as well as a professorship for several years. Currently he is an active artist with a studio in Logansport Indiana, among other locations in the US and abroad. His work is exhibited in museums, international art fairs, and top 100 galleries around the world. His personal artwork ranges from nearly all mediums, including monumental sculpture and use of digital technologies. Over Jason's 30 year career, he has participated in many capacities of the contemporary art world, including international museum and art fair curation, served 10 years as gallery director of leading international gallery ARTBOX in Indianapolis, and public art curation, most recognized for his personal curation of the 100 acre Christel DeHaan Estate sculpture garden in Indianapolis. Additionally, Jason has served on the art advisory boards of Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, and Logansport, Indiana. Myers brings his international network and experience to the development of the Indiana Museum of Art, positioning Logansport as a destination for contemporary art.
