Mission

The Indiana Museum of Art (IMA) brings internationally recognized contemporary art to North Central Indiana while supporting artists through studios, residencies, and collaborative creative spaces. Through exhibitions, public art, and cultural programming, the museum connects to regional communities with global artistic perspectives.

Beyond exhibitions, the museum is part of a broader Creative Campus initiative designed to support artists and creative industries. The campus includes live-work artist studios, visiting artist residencies, and a design technology lab that encourages collaboration between artists, designers, and innovators.

Together with a developing network of public sculpture and walkable cultural spaces throughout downtown Logansport, the museum is contributing to a vibrant cultural corridor connecting the city’s historic downtown with its riverfronts, creating a dynamic environment where art, community, and place intersect.

Why Logansport?

Logansport’s historic downtown, riverfront geography, and growing cultural activity create a unique foundation for a new contemporary art destination. The Indiana Museum of Art builds upon this momentum, contributing to ongoing revitalization efforts while introducing a new layer of cultural infrastructure.

Institutional Vision

The museum is not as a single building, but as part of a distributed cultural system that integrates exhibition spaces, artist studios, public art, and community engagement into a cohesive environment.
